HISTORY

St. Anne’s School was founded by Mrs. Barbara Karst in 1977. With its beginnings as a Pre-School, St. Anne’s grew, building a solid foundation as an institution adding one grade per year. St. Anne’s School was formally accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Paraguay (MEC) 1987.

It became a participating member of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) in 1996.

It carries the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program which takes in the last two years of High School, 11th and 12th grades.

St. Anne’s School was accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) in 2005. SACS is part of Cognia, the organization that officially recognizes colleges and schools in the United States of America. Today, St. Anne’s has a population of over six hundred students and a Faculty of over one hundred professionals. The first Graduating Class was in 1998.
