DIPLOMA PROGRAM

The International Baccalaureate Organization - IBO. It is a nonprofit educational foundation, motivated by its mission, focused on the student. Founded in 1968, it is a recognized leader in the field of the international education, encouraging students to be active learners, well-rounded individuals and engaged world citizens. The IBO  offers a continuum of high-quality education that encourages international-mindedness and a positive attitude to learning. St. Anne's School currently hosts the Diploma Program wich is a two-year program offered from eleventh grade through twelfth grade and is the basis for our high school curriculum.

The Theory of Knowledge - TOK

Is an interdisciplinary requirement intended to stimulate critical reflection on the knowledge and experience gained inside and outside the classroom. The course challenges students to question the bases of knowledge, to be aware of subjective and ideological biases and to develop the ability to analyze evidence that is expressed in rational argument.

Creativity, Activity, Service - CAS

The IB goal is to educate the whole person and foster responsible, compassionate citizens. The CAS program encourages students to share their energy and special talents with others.

A 4,000 word extended essay

Each student has the opportunity to investigate a topic of special interest. The essay requirement acquaints diploma candidates with the kind of independent research and writing skills expected by universities.
